From this view in Yosemite National Park, is a unique view of the "other side" of Half Dome. Olmsted Point is on the Tioga Pass road. This is a very nice smaller oil painting. It has an interesting composition using the curve of Half Dome repeated backwards in the curve of the blue sky. The overall composition fits together well. It is painted with a looser brush stroke and muted colors. The contrast between light, dark, and midtones creates an excitement for the piece.
